Tennessee Underwriters, Inc. (TUI) was formed in 1980 to provide property and casualty insurance products to independent insurance agents in Tennessee. TUI markets its products only through independent insurance agents.

We are a family-owned business dedicated to providing the best in personal service and building strong business relationships with professional independent insurance agencies across Tennessee.

As a Tennessee based business, we have a unique understanding of the needs of our agency partners and their clients across the state. Through the years we have developed sources for insurance products from respected carriers in the domestic and international markets who share our ethics and commitment to providing a high level of service to clients.  

With many of our carriers, we have underwriting authority which means we are able to respond quickly to the the needs of insurance agencies. In most cases, quotes are given via telephone to the agent. If the risk meets our underwriting standards, TUI can bind the coverage immediately.  TUI offers excellent service to their agents through a computerized policy issuance system and a  friendly, qualified staff. We also provide premium finance services through its affiliate, TUI Premium Finance.  In fact, most quotes will automatically include a premium finance option for consideration. We also offer online payment by credit card for clients subject to approval and as long as insurance policies are in good standing.
